  5. What does Jesus say is the greatest commandment? And what is the second commandment that he says is like it? 

Relationships

OBJECTIVES
Be able to answer the following:

  1. How do we know relationships are important to God?
  2. Does the Bible give us information and rules/expectations for various kinds of relationships? Be able to name a few different relationships and Biblical principles for various types.
  3. Be able to identify and contrast characteristics and behaviors of God-focused/God-glorifying individuals with self-focused/self-glorifying behaviors in various relationships.

Single or Married

OBJECTIVES
Be able to answer the following:

  1. How is God’s plan similar for everyone, whether single or married?
  2. What are some reasons for getting married?
  3. What are some reasons for remaining single?
  4. How is God’s plan for marriage as a covenant relationship different from the secular world’s view of marriage as a contract?

Dating

OBJECTIVES
Be able to answer the following:

  1. What does the Bible have to say about dating?
  2. What is the point of dating?
  3. What are some good ground rules/principles/boundaries?
  4. Whose input should I consider before/while dating?
  5. What is a date?
  6. How do I get one?

Sin & Relationships

OBJECTIVES
Learn that God’s Word has answers to the following questions and learn to study God’s Word to get to know God and find answers to life’s most important questions.

  1. What is sin against God?
  2. What is sin against others?
  3. What do I do about sin?
  4. How do I keep from going on sinning?
  5. How do I deal with the pain that someone else has caused me?
  6. What about the pain I have caused others?
  7. Is there hope for me?
